Divorce

Malaika Arora is in a positive phase of her life. Malaika Arora is the Judge of many shows and also a fitness enthusiast-entrepreneur has recently opened up about her personal life and her divorce with Arbaaz Khan. And how her life was affected by this decision. Malaika appeared on the web show of Anupama Chopra where she was asked about the split.

“Divorce is a big step. It gave me freedom in the sense that I could make a choice that I’m standing by, “Malaika replied,” It’s a choice that is not applauded by many but it gives you the freedom to move forward, make new choices, go ahead in the world with your head held high and without feeling the baggage of the past.

She said she was happy to have taken her own decision. “We all want to be in love, to be in a relationship again. For the rest of their lives, no one wants to be alone and single. I’m glad that I made this choice on my own, regardless of what everyone said about me.”

After nearly 19 years of marriage, Malaika and Arbaaz divorced in 2017; they have a 16-year-old son, Arhaan. When asked if there were true rumors of Christian marriage with alleged boyfriend Arjun Kapoor, she laughed at them as “media speculation.”

“We all want to move on, find love and companionship, and meet people with whom they are related. And those who can be really lucky,” was all Malaika willing to say about a possible future wedding.

Earlier, Malaika had opened up about her divorce when she appeared on Kareena Kapoor’s radio show. “A lot of things we thought about and weighed every single pro and con. And then we decided that it would be better for us to move our separate ways because we would just be better people. Because we were two people in a situation that made each other extremely unhappy that had an impact on the life of everyone else around us, “she said.
